Key Account Manager – Bio-Pharma

Responsible for developing new business growth of new and prospective customers within the targeted product gross margins by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop methods of generating qualified prospects, identifying customer needs, preparing, and delivering powerful presentations and closing new accounts.
  • Partner with marketing and internal/external sales representatives to identify new markets and opportunities, define customer needs, maximize, and leverage business with accounts located in multiple states and countries.
    • Design standards and options to satisfy industry wide application needs.
    • Develop formal quotations and business plans to achieve budgeted gross margins.
    • Maintain customer database to track quotation activity and pertinent customer information.
  • Conduct in-person and video conferencing meetings on current and prospective customers to solicit orders and new applications.
  • Facilitator and project manager, between customer, independent representatives, and internal departments, for all applications relating to new business development.
  • Develop annual forecast and sales goal/objectives and be able to meet and exceed targeted goals through existing and prospective customers.
  • Prepares and distributes travel reports for business transactions/contacts and submits related expense reports on monthly basis.
    • Assist with direct and independent Rep training to support sales efforts and continue to grow new business and maintain existing sales base.
    • Assist with trade shows when required.
    • Responsible for complying with the company's Environmental Policy Manual, applicable work instructions and reporting any environmental nonconformance and/or potential nonconformance to supervision or management.
    • Adhere to work instructions and SOP's in accordance with ISO 9001.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or BS in Engineering, from a four-year college or university; and four to five years related industrial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong experience with MS Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook is required.

Other Skills & Abilities

Good interpersonal and communication skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Blueprint reading required.

Monday to Friday
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Ability to cummute/relocate
